Surrogacy

When the uterus has a disorder which cannot be surgically cured (e.g adenomyosis), or has been removed or absent from birth (Rokitansky syndrome); or you have a medical condition that does not allow you to carry a pregnancy (cancer treatments, breast cancer, heart conditions etc.), using a gestational carrier maybe a solution. As each state has different regulations, it is important to receive legal advice before resorting to this option. Gestational carriers can be relatives, friends or others. This process also requires rigorous counseling and screening. If you are considering this, plan months ahead of time.
